curiosity was ignited by a spooky voice heard on XXXTENTACION's album 17.
Shiloh Dynasty was the mysterious singer who became famous on Vine but then
vanished completely on social media in 2016. Three songs on the album featured
her vocals: "Jocelyn Flores,""Carry On," and "Everyone
Died In Their Nightmares." Magneto Dayo's Millhouse memoirs included
Shiloh too. There has been much speculation regarding Shiloh about his gender
and whereabouts. The XXX album, as well as the appearance on Millhouse Memoirs
have brought much attention to Shiloh However, several months later, none of
the questions about this mysterious artist have been answered. Shiloh remains
unresponsive. There is no more information that is new, aside from the
revelation of Shiloh's brother Sage Odessa. But, his influence is growing even
more in underground music communities because the absence of his name. The
album isn't on the charts or on the news however a bit of digging will reveal
how much influence Shiloh is having on a plethora of artists and fans,
especially in the fast-growing Lo-fi scene. A Spotify playlist created by a
user named raynuralim named "Shiloh Dynasty" features only songs that
sample Shiloh that were created by DIY musicians with a preference for lo-fi
soundscapes. The playlist contains more than 300 songs. If you go to the
artists included and examine their statistics nearly all contain one song
that's more popular than all the other songs. The one that's outlying almost
always samples Shiloh Dynasty. The mysterious artist hasn't released a single
song within the last 6 months, but has gone from 5,000 followers to 50k Spotify
followers, a growth of 949%, according to Indify.
