Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
rose to fame as a cast member of "Saturday Night Live," before
starring in big-screen comedies such like 'Elf', 'Anchorman and "Talladega
Nights.' Will Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He began his career
in comedy as actor in the Los Angeles-based improv group, the Groundlings.
Following his acclaimed seven-year run as a member of the cast of Saturday
Night Live, he was one of the industry's most popular comedic performers
through off-color hits such as Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of
Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell also co-founded the popular video streaming site
Funny or Die, and had the success of a voice actor in animated films like
Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell is a California native born in Irvine on
July 16, 1967. The oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell
and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission--hardly the class clown
as a student at University High School. Ferrell was calm and quiet, decided to
be a part of football, where he set records for the school's most made field
goals. Ferrell's suburban house was not the ideal setting for his outrageous
and funny bursts that would later define his career.
