Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (19 January 1986) was an English lingerie and catwalk models and a TV model and TV. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2). In 2006 she also was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second oldest child of four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton in a suburb close to Liverpool. She attended St Mary's Catholic Primary School as well as St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy was a part of the girl group Genie Queen. They were managed by Andy McCluskey at Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was chosen to be one of 13 finalist for the second season of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10-week modeling contract. Clancy made it to the runway show with another contestant Lianna Fowler. She eventually became the winner. Clancy was included on Britain's Next Top Model and has since been modelled by a variety of newspapers and magazines. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike on the May 2007 cover of Arena magazine. Clancy was chosen for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Clancy was selected for her sporting connection with Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed wearing body paint for the magazine to make it appear like she was wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photographs. Clancy was featured in Umbro's 2010 campaign. She wore an England shirt, and was accompanied by women of the teams that won. Clancy was a model in the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear collection Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011, Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division's website. In July 2013, Clancy appeared as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign. She was included in a fashion-related editorial by Absynth Photographic, as in a fashion documentary created by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire cover. Photographer Solve Sundsbo took Clancy's photo. Clancy was included in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar along with Suki waterhouse and Cara delevingne. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire in July 2014 and British Elle in March 2015. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch, her daughter, collaborated with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) to launch the AW'19 collection. The collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
